
And with the slogan, ‘Proudly Canadian’ in the footer of their website, I felt it only necessary to include the maple leaf in there as well. I formed the logo into the shape of a football badge, with the name surrounding a central ‘DE’ emblem that has a distinctive sports/varsity feel. They provide a high standard of technical development, self-awareness, mental strength, leadership, and, above all, professionalism.

The David Edgar Football Camps (DEFC) vision is for every youth soccer player in Canada to have an equal opportunity to become a professional footballer on par with the best countries and systems in the world. Professional footballer and Canadian National team centre back David Edgar asked me to come up with a sports themed logo for his youth training camps, based in Waterloo, Canada. I also generated some iconography for the separate day and 5K events. I then worked this colour scheme into the website, creating some background imagery off of the logo design, and the route maps. I styled the logo in the form of a badge, along with a distinctly retro colour scheme. The trek revolved around building hope for the future by transforming lives and creating a forest for everyone to enjoy, whilst ensuring that those who have served the public are never forgotten.Īfter an exhaustive exploration around themes of remembrance and nature, I was able to conceptualise the day in the form of a truly British tree, silhouetted in front of a sunset (given that the trek would span over a number of evenings). The event runners needed a logo and website putting together, as well as illustrative elements to support the project.
